It all comes from a
Wine has always been our family’s passion: my great-grandfathers were farmers and had acres of vine on the hills around Novara. Unfortunately, the second world war took everything away. The passion, though, kept developing. I remember that, during summer with my parents and their friends, we would never miss an opportunity to find some new farm and winery everywhere in Italy, and to discover a new wine.
It was a natural process for me to get closer to this world, getting to know more, trying to “figure it out”.
Firstly, I tried with some simple tasting and matching courses, then I tried in a more serious way with the AIS sommelier course.
Becoming a sommelier was the realisation of my dream, and the starting point for transforming a passion in a life choice.
This is the story that led to the project of WineandSommelier.

In the last few years, the fine dining and drinking destinations increased, the cooking classes, the taste itinerary, and the comelier courses multiplied and achieved resounding success.
All of this is spreading a greater attention towards food and its built-in mate: wine. All of this renders the whole idea of how much, for a greater pleasure both at the restaurant and at home, matching food and wine is getting more and more diffused. A good matching gives something more and leaves a sensation of pleasantness to our taste.
This is the idea behind WineandSommelier, that wants to offer a full consultation for a correct wine-pairing, through the figure of the “Personal Sommelier”.
